Compared with the flexibility and adaptability of humans, the hands-on ability of current delivery robots is still quite lacking. The delivery scenarios they face are very complex, and they need to deal with various order delivery sites, roads, pedestrians and all kinds of unexpected situations, etc. With current technology, robots are still unable to make timely and effective decisions and execute them promptly, and human labor still occupies a core position in the logistics industry.
At present, robots mostly play an auxiliary role and have little practical value. The main characters are still a large number of human workers. Intelligent logistics is an inevitable path for the transformation of the logistics industry, but it is difficult for the express delivery industry alone to hold up the banner of logistics.
It can be seen from this that the current technical level of delivery robots is still not mature enough and there is still much room for improvement. Nowadays, they are more often trained and tested in closed environments such as campuses, and logistics automation will be gradually achieved within the next 5 to 8 years.
